Rubric

A rubric is a grading tool that specifically tells the students what is expected of their project. A rubric is used to clearly inform the students what is expected of them. The rubric makes the teachers grading easier. The students can't really argue about the way the material is graded because they knew exactly who it was going to be graded. Microsoft Photo Story

1. What is Photo Story 3 for Windows and how do I get a copy? My photo story intrudes my unit to the American Revolution. You can look at it by looking here

6.Can you do transitions between images in MPS project? Yes you can.
7.Describe the image editing options in MPS. You can change the start and end point of your photos and change the look of them with watercolor and other opitions.
8. Describe the image viewing options in MPS (include motion/duration). You can change the starting and ending position of your images and how long each picture is shown. You can also change the angle the pictures enter with transitions.
9. How do you turn a PowerPoint presentation into images? You must save your project in an image format. I used JPEG.

Webquest Roles

Webquest Title: Revoutionary War Debate
Student #1 role: Common Loyalist of Great Britain in the Colonies- You will be looking at the reasons the British Government is passing acts that affects on their colonist. Tell us why the acts were accepted by the loyal colonist.
Highest order thinking skill question: What is parliament doing to balance the British Government, and is it working The question is on the understand, describe, and explain of Blooms Taxonomy-Revised.
Artifact: Produce a presentation that explains the reasoning of their loyalty to the crown. Student will use Microsoft Powerpoint to do this.

Webquest Post

Today in class we looked at webquest and it is a site to create online lessons for classes. You can go to it by clicking here. We ranked different lesons on webquest today in groups of four you can view these lessons for yourself by clicking here. The lessons were all pretty good to me because I was the tecnophile and they all used internet links. Some were better though because of the task of making a powerpoint.

Review of Curriculum Questions

Today in class we reviewed the difference between esential questions, unit questions, and content questions. Also, we examined how to use a visual aid through a powerpoint presentation. We learned the difference between a good presentation and bad one , too.

Here are my questions for my unit on the American Revolution and the time leading up to it.

American Revolution: Why did we want it all?

Describe the governments of Great Britain and the American Colonies.

Intel Unit Lesson

The lessson will be in 10th grade Social studies and the students will be studying the causes of the American Revolution. After, the lesson students will be ale to outline the causes of the American Revolution and explain them.

Also we were assigned a project dealing with intell. We are to build our own taxonomy of thinking skills. This activity shows an understanding of INSTE Engage in professional growth and leadership.

Today

Today in class we used the intell teaching tools to visually rank the NETS T STANDARDS and make a concept map of what could help with these standards and what could hinder them. The standard we used the most today was digital age and learning. Also we book marked different sites on our delecious account. We signed up for an Animoto account and intell teacher account.

Uploaded a Document.

Today in class we learned various ways to save a document, most importantly we learned how to upload the document to google docs and make it a web page pro it's virtual con none.. You can get to it by clicking here The first way we learned was to the desktop pro its always on that computer cons it's only available on that computer, the second was to the network drive pro its available virtually con must be on that network. The thumb drive is also a way to save a document pro makes it portable con easy to lose. This activity demonsrates the use of ISTE #3 model digital-age and learning by the transfer of a document to other resources to save it.

Electronic Publishing Day

We learned how to create a google document, a resume. Also, we did a review of our delicious accounts. This activity helped with ISTE #5 Engage in professional growth and development because of the ability to explore creative applications of technology to improve student learning.

Delicious Review

Today in Tecnology Education we reviewed delicious accounts and learned how to chat through gmail. We also did a quick review of google documents. This was an activity that involved INSTE #4 Promote and model digital citizenship and responsibility because of being able to collaborate with students and colleagues on the internet.
